I have asked Canon to send me a hardcopy of the manual because I find it very hard to learn with the quick start. As of yet I have gotten anything and that's been over 2 weeks ago. I'd like to get started scanning and I purchased my scanner almost 2 months ago. I find it difficult to understand the directions. I haven't been able to scan anything to OCR like my recipes so that I can correct them and then put them in their appropriate folders.
