Hi,
I've had a Hitachi Bread Machine, HB-B101,for about 6 years and it has always worked fine - until today. I put the ingredients in & turned it on as usual. It started the mixing cycle but then an odor came out (sort of like burning plastic or hot oil) and then it just stopped working. I removed the dough (which was somewhat mixed by this point) and just put it in the oven to complete baking. I un-plugged the machine and cleaned it and examined it some more. Couldn't see anything obvious. Then, I decided to put a cup of water and two cups of flour in it and try to start it again.
