After reading various sites I believed that I might do a few upholstery repairs but I had problems with the thread either jamming or not forming proper stitches. I fixed that by reducing the spool tension to allow for the thicker (but light) upholstery thread an matching the upper needle tension until the stitches formed correctly. Now the threads break at the eye of the 705H (size No 16). The material & thread are not overly heavy.
